Trump started selling limited edition Bitcoin shoes after his speech at the Bitcoin Conference
Shortly after his speech at Bitcoin 2024 last week, former US President Donald Trump publicized his limited edition sneakers on the community platform on Wednesday (31st). He posted on Truth Social stating:
Go buy your Bitcoin sneakers now. These are limited edition, each pair has a number, and you can now pay with Bitcoin or your favorite cryptocurrency
According to the data on the official website, there are three types of Bitcoin shoes named "Trump Crypto President". Each type is limited to 1000 pairs, and some products are signed by Trump. The sold out Bitcoin Orange high tube shoes are priced at $499, while the other two are priced at $299.
Last Saturday, Trump delivered a keynote speech at the Bitcoin Conference, promising that if he was elected in November, he would fire Gary Gensler, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), stop the US government from selling its Bitcoin holdings, and establish a "strategic reserve of Bitcoin".
