Touching the earth on Tai Sui's head? US government wallet address hacked with 20 million magne
According to information disclosed by Arkham, an on chain data analysis platform, the US government's wallet experienced abnormal movements yesterday, with a total value of approximately $20 million worth of cryptocurrency being transferred to external addresses. These funds are related to the Bitfinex hacking incident and come from nine different US government seized addresses. These tokens include AUSDC stablecoins worth nearly $14 million, USDC worth $5.4 million, USDT worth $1.1 million, and ETH worth nearly $500000.
After investigation by on chain detective ZachXBT, it was found that these funds were ultimately transferred to non compliant external trading platforms such as N excess, Switching, and Binance liquidity. ZachXBT stated that it is highly likely that these funds were stolen by hackers.
Arkham subsequently agreed with ZachXBT's viewpoint and stated:
These funds were subsequently transferred to wallet address 0x348, and the wallet has begun to exchange these funds for ETH. We believe that the attackers have started to launder these proceeds through suspicious addresses related to money laundering services
