The Web3 and Virtual Asset Development Subcommittee visited the Cyberport Park, and HashKey Exchange
On November 12th, the Legislative Council Subcommittee on Web 3.0 and Virtual Asset Development visited Cyberport to learn about its latest developments and future trends in promoting Web 3.0 applications. Ms. Zhang Manli, Deputy Director of the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, and Mr. Zhang Yiwei, Deputy Policy Officer (Digital Infrastructure) of the Digital Policy Office, also accompanied the delegation for exchanges. HashKey Exchange, as a representative of Web 3.0 startups, participated in the communication and dialogue between the Legislative Council Subcommittee and Cyberport Web 3.0 startups.

During the communication session, HashKey Group's Chief Risk Officer, Ru Haiyang, shared the company's development history and 2025 strategic plan with the committee members, and expressed gratitude for Cyberport's support for Web 3.0 startups.
Engineer Chen Siyuan, Chief Public Mission Officer of Cyberport, delivered a welcome speech, introducing the work of Cyberport and the development of the local Web 3.0 ecosystem. Subsequently, Ms. Zhu Meien, Chief Enterprise Development Officer of Cyberport, presided over a discussion session and exchanged views with representatives from two Cyberport unicorns (Hashkey and CertiK) and three community enterprises (Artifact Labs, TraditioNow, and Regtitude) on promoting investment matching, network security, and blockchain system applications, as well as the challenges faced by innovation and technology enterprises, with the chairman of the subcommittee, Wu Jiezhuang, and eight Legislative Council members present.
Ru Haiyang stated that the Legislative Council has played an important role in formulating regulatory frameworks, laying the foundation for enhancing investor confidence and improving market transparency. He also mentioned that he is grateful for the technical and resource support of Cyberport, which has helped startups grow in a compliant environment and promoted local innovation and project incubation. It is reported that Cyberport will receive a grant of 50 million yuan from the SAR government in 2023 to accelerate the development of the local Web 3.0 ecosystem and establish the Web 3.0 Investment Circle (W3iC) to promote Web 3.0 related investments. As a local Web 3.0 enterprise in Hong Kong, HashKey Exchange has steadily developed with the support of Cyberport, enhancing its competitiveness and innovation capabilities. In the future, HashKey Exchange will continue to make good use of these resources, expand its business, and drive technological advancements.
